We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide direct care and support to individuals with special needs for a South County residential school. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities while promoting their rights, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care assistance, including personal care and daily living activities.
- Support individuals in developing communication, social, and relationship-building skills.
- Implement behavioral interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate data and records.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment regardless of holidays or weather conditions.
- Assist with physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing for extended periods, and bending/pushing/pulling more than 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license from MA, CT, or NY.
