We're seeking a passionate and empathetic Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional counseling and support. In this role, you'll empower students to make informed choices about their health, navigate dietary challenges, and thrive academically and personally. You'll be a key partner in our commitment to student well-being by providing personalized counseling, developing engaging educational programs, and fostering a healthy and inclusive campus community.
At Williams, we believe in supporting the holistic well-being of our students. In this role, you will:
- Provide individualized nutritional assessments and counseling, addressing a wide range of complex needs, including eating disorders, sports nutrition, and chronic conditions.
- Develop and lead engaging workshops, seminars, and cooking demonstrations to promote healthy eating habits and nutritional literacy.
- Design and implement innovative campus-wide nutrition programs, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and contributing to a vibrant campus community.
- Serve as a key member of the Eating Disorders Collaborative Care Team, contributing to integrated care.
- Work with dining services to educate students on how to navigate healthy food options.
- Conduct nutrition outreach through campus events and educational materials.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in a clinical or community nutrition setting, with a preference for experience in a college or university environment working with young adults.
The ideal candidate will also have experience or certification in the areas of disordered eating and sports nutrition, as well as direct experience providing one-on-one nutrition counseling. For best consideration, please include a cover letter detailing any experience in these areas.
This is a fully on-site 9-month academic-year position, working 26.5 hours per week, and is eligible for Williams College's robust benefits package. No remote work arrangement is available at this time.
Travel to off-campus locations for events or outreach activities, or some evening or weekend hours may be required for workshops or special programs.
Application review will begin on March 19, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled. Pay range is from $35 - $42 an hour, commensurate with experience.
