Hoosac Valley High School is hiring for our Spring season. We are looking for dynamic men and women, who can develop maximum athletic potential and characteristics of good citizenship and sportsmanship of student athletes through proper conditioning, example, and teaching.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate ability to work well with others, specifically students, teachers, school administrators, parents and volunteers;
- Serve as a role model for students and the general public at large;
- Demonstrates confidentiality in personnel and student matters;
- Possess a good knowledge of the sport, including, but not limited to, understanding and training/conditioning techniques;
- Make periodic reviews of the grades of the student athletes during the course of the season to ensure players are keeping up with the studies and maintaining their athletic eligibility;
- Be aware of and enforce MIAA rules and regulations;
- Provide reports in writing within twenty-four hours to the Dean of Students/Athletic Director or Principal for any major infractions of the accepted school rules and policies by any student participation during any aspect of the athletic program;
- All regulations with regards to the school’s state approved concussion policy are followed and documented;
- Work with the Athletic Director in scheduling practices, games and scrimmages;
- Develop challenging, diverse and developmentally/physically appropriate practices as part of the comprehensive training regime for all players;
- Prepare budget requests and specifications for submission to the Athletic Director;
- Responsible for equipment and uniform inventory during the season;
Accompany and supervise student athletes from the start of practice and/or athletic completion until each student athlete has left the school via late bus or parent pick up.
