The candidate is responsible for creating a safe, encouraging, enjoyable, and respectful learning environment that fosters, promotes, and develops the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of children. The candidate employs a variety of age and developmentally appropriate instructional methods and materials designed to meet the needs of all learners. The ideal candidate collaborates well with colleagues to teach physical education to a diverse group of students. The candidate can successfully establish strong relationships with students, parents, and community.
Valid Teaching License in physical education recognized by DESE
Master’s degree in Physical Education or similar field preferred
Experience showing a commitment to working with middle school children
Knowledge of current curricular and instructional practice
Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement
