| Description: | |
| A full-time seasonal position, supervising and working with the maintenance crews, maintaining plant beds and plantings of residential and commercial landscapes in the Berkshire area. Responsibilities include: garden maintenance, seasonal clean-ups, annual plantings, pruning, watering, plant nursery management, scheduling and training of crew members, proposals & quotes, and client relations. Job Duties / Objectives: Oversee/partake in the maintenance of residential and commercial properties, ensuring the quality control of workmanship. Daily review of maintenance schedule and planning crew schedule. Scheduling & training of watering crew. Locate and order plant material for jobs within the maintenance department. Assist with the maintenance of nursery plant material. Spring/Fall garden care. Design seasonal container gardens and annual plantings. Build and maintain relationships with clientele. | |
| Requirements: | |
| Strong in depth knowledge of plant material, and identification of plants, with experience in garden design and layout. Pruning skills & knowledge. Experience with equipment used in the trade: blowers, edgers, pruners, etc. Managerial experience. Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Asset a plus, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with drafting quotes/proposals. Ability to obtain upon hire: DOT medical card; OSHA 10 (30). Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry repeatedly through the work day. Must be punctual and reliable. Some Saturdays required. | |
