Job Summary:
MHS is seeking a dedicated mentor to join the School’s Athletics Department and coach the Cross-Country Team. The coach must possess experience coaching or playing the sport competitively and must have an interest in coaching in a girl-centered environment. The candidate will be a dynamic presence who radiates a genuine and infectious passion for the mission of the School and has the capacity to align with the School’s core values. Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Set and communicate seasonal goals with student-athletes, captains, and the Director of Athletics;
- Develop an overview for the season, focused first on skills progression and that includes the scheduled practice sessions, beginning and ending on time, and provides adequate warm-up, exercises, stretches, and cool-down;
- Attend to all practice, pre-season, race-day, and transportation expectations, in coordination with the Director of Athletics and other coaches;
- Record and report team and individual statistics and provide this data at the end of the season to the Director of Athletics and student-athletes of the cross-country team; and
- Ensure the safety of all student-athletes at all times.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in Cross-Country/long-distance running;
- Experience in developing practice plans and providing individual and team instruction; and
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive the School’s minibuses; training will be provided.

Stipend: $5,000
