Position Highlights:


UCP is looking for a Financial Assistant will assist the CFO in bookkeeping duties including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations and billing.    

Some duties include:

  • Review and verify accounts payable input and output, accounts receivable posting, ensuring all necessary schedules are completed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare daily deposits and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Record journal entries for cash receipts and other essential accounting functions
  • Review and reconcile bank transactions.
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
  • Help in development of reports for management.
  • Perform or assist in performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Place orders for general offices supplies and equipment needed for contracts.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Prepare supporting schedules.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with contract management.

 

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree with a concentration in Accounting with 2-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is mandatory including V Lookup, Pivots and other formula metrics.
  • Non-Profit experience a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team.
  • Keep confidential data in a professional manner.
