JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and motivated 3D/Laser Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers, laser cutters, and laser markers to produce a variety of parts and products, including gaskets, switches, and other production components. You may also assist the design department by supporting SolidWorks drawings and collaborating on product designs as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with additive and subtractive manufacturing processes, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate and maintain 3D printers to create prototypes, production parts, and other components as per specifications.
- Set up and operate laser cutters and laser markers to produce high-precision parts, including gaskets, switches, and various other components.
- Ensure quality control by reviewing and inspecting parts produced on 3D printers, laser cutters, and markers for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare materials, such as plastics, foam, and other substrates, for 3D printing and laser cutting processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on 3D printers, laser cutters, and markers to ensure smooth operations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process optimizations and providing recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, production schedules, and part inventories.
- Work efficiently and in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
- CAD modeling and prints (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
- Understand and save files in PDM software package.
- Understand and comply with departmental procedures.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 (one) years’ experience in manufacturing, design, and/or specific schooling
- Minimum of 3 (three) years’ experience operating computers and their processes
- Training in specific CAD and CAM packages will be provided
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, and laser marking technology.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software, with a basic understanding of technical drawings.
- Experience in producing parts like gaskets, switches, or similar components in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain 3D printers, laser cutters, and markers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality parts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with design, engineering, and production teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Basic Math skills required
- Reading abilities required (Including blueprints and schematics)
- Follow safety and materials policies and procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to pass a physical exam
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Extended periods of sitting and standing
- Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses
- Good hearing
