JOB SUMMARY: The electrical engineer is a hands-on individual who is independent and motivated. They design, validate, document, and standardize the electrical circuits for the Lenco vehicles. They work with vendors to test new lights and similar equipment for future projects and vehicles, provide specs for critical electrical components and assist Technical Services when customers need after-sale electrical support.

• Conceptualize and design electrical schematics for the vehicles and accessories
• Create, standardize, and maintain detailed documentation on all electrical systems and peripheral equipment
• Design communications or navigational equipment related to the electrical control systems
• Assist in the installation of electrical systems into the vehicles
• Ensure all circuits and parts are correctly installed and function as intended
• Perform product control and system evaluations
• Inspect design plans
• Evaluate the electrical system and its components
• Actively test electronic equipment, provide recommendations or initiate repairs
• Troubleshoot circuits and electrical systems using diagnostic tools
• Creative problem solving and the ability to complete basic repair work
• Ensure the electrical systems are always up-to-date and safe for operation and repair
• Create and Maintain BOM’s for electrical systems
• Design different parts to aide in the mounting and integration of electrical components

• Work with Production Department on the design and development electrical systems
• Create and maintain standardized work instructions for installation of electrical systems
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
• Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Various levels of internal staff within a variety of departments.
• Customer and vendor interaction.
• Production, Sales, Quality, Tech services, and Purchasing Departments
• Electrical background
• HVAC experience
• CAD/CAM design
• Minimum 2 years in an Engineering role

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Citizenship Requirements (ITAR Export Controls)

• L1 and/or L2 ASE certification (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record

• Knowledge of electrical codes and best practices
• Ability to read and create blueprints and technical diagrams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
• Experience with electrical diagnostic tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to meet requirements of the job including, working in confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and working at elevated heights
• Experience with system design software
• Excellent communication skills – Active listener and conveys information to others effectively

SKILLS (Required):
• SolidWorks 3D (1-year minimum)
• Knowledge of 12V & 24V DC circuits
• Experience with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other such electrical test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
• Experience troubleshooting circuits for errors
• Ability to write detailed install documents for electrical ship outs

SKILLS (Preferred):
• SolidWorks electrical
• CAN bus systems
• Automotive knowledge
• HVAC knowledge
