This strategic position is responsible for supporting the infrastructures of all Sampco facilities nationwide.  In this role, the IT Manager will ensure the stable operation of the network, software programs, hardware, internet and phone systems utilizing either internal or external resources to achieve favorable outcomes for users, minimize downtime and overall expenses.  Must have previous experience with the following:

  • Provide network oversight for all sites nationwide.
  • Support and manage external vendors
  • Provide administration for telephones and communications
  • Support all aspects of Sampco customer websites and EDI systems including but not limited to, purchasing domains, purchasing SSL certificates, installing related website functionality in support of new EDI sites.
  • Provide project management on related IT initiatives; ensure projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Develops and administers instructions and/or conducts training for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assists users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
  • Assist in process mapping and streamlining of workflow to ensure resources are being utilized as intended.
  • Maintains inventory of all installed and spare hardware; maintains inventory of all software.
  • Bachelor Degree in related field and 5-10 years of current experience planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining information technology systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • Facilitation and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer a medium to large network including firewalls.
  • Demonstrated ability to support network printers and photocopiers.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, Windows server and desktop technologies, Mac products a plus.
  • Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent customer service skills
