Medical Guest Service Associate
$28.00 Per Hour

We have a 13 week opportunity for a 2nd shift Medical Guest Services Associate. This role is responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients and their belongings to and from inpatient rooms and care areas and upon discharge.Pay based on experience, between $25-$28/HR. Forty hour work week, evenings, 3:00pm- 11:30pm.

You would be responsible for greeting family members and visitors and escorting them to various locations throughout the facility, screening family members and visitors to ensure the safety and security of visitors and staff and notifying security discretely should the person be a VIP.

Additional Requirements (including but not limited to): 

  • Familiar with transport equipment such as, stretcher, oxygen tanks, and hospital/ICU beds. 
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties.
  • Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality and consideration of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism professionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, computers, bar codes, pagers, etc.
  • Works well together with different units and departments throughout the Hospital community
  • Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they pertain to the job are required.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

  • 3+ years current experience working with public
  • HS graduate or GED 
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, other health care providers required.
  • Hospitality experience STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Valid Driver License required for this need
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
  • Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
