Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant for general administrative support services. This position requires contact with a variety of individuals within the organization as well as with individuals from outside in the community. The Administrative Assistant requires a high level of customer service skills to provide and obtain required information, resolve problems, and explain programs and processes. 

Essential Responsibilities
• Provide general support to various departments within the organization
• Assist with the scheduling of appointments, returning phone calls, emails, and mailings
• Performs file audits
• Participate in and contribute to department team meetings
• Maintains confidential, sensitive information and files
• Contacts, collects, and responds to outside sources to obtain and/or verify information
• Attend training courses and complete special tasks as assigned
• Assist with the compilation of statistical data
• Interact with the public in person and by telephone


Required Skills or Abilities
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal/written business communication
• Knowledge of office administration practices and procedures
• Ability to independently maintain responsibility for a variety of routine to complex clerical activities.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Previous fast-paced office experience a plus
• High School/Vocational Diploma
Physical Requirements
• Stationary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The team member is required to have close visual acuity to view and work on a desk computer/laptop/iPad.
• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment (phone, fax machine, copy machine, postage machine, etc).
• Must have the ability to walk short distances.
