Full Time, Temp to Hire, Maintenance Technician needed.. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general and routing cleaning of the interior and exterior of properties on as as needed basis at each property. This is a full time, 40 hour a week position. 

Pay based on experience- between $19.33/hr

Specific Tasks & Duties of the Maintenance Technician are as follows:

  • This position will be expected to fulfill duties at a variety of company owned properties as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Inspects apartment with Property Manager and/or tenant upon tenant giving notice to vacate, and upon move-in and move out.
  • Prepare apartment for new tenant by cleaning appliances, vacuuming/cleaning shampooing carpets and floors, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, drywall repair/replacement, minor electrical and plumbing repair/replacement, painting.   Completes and submits Unit Prep report to Property Manager.
  • Cleaning appliances, vacuuming/cleaning shampooing carpets and floors, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens and painting.  
  • Attend to or repair tenant maintenance issues.
  • Tasks include snow-blowing, shoveling, and treating sidewalks and entryways, with ice melt, during times of inclement weather. Shovel and keep clear all paths from exit.
  • Ensures rubbish, papers and debris are picked up. Check for property damage and safety hazards and for proper exterior lighting.
  • Wash down or sweep down building where accessible to remove spider webs, etc.
  • Maintain common areas by vacuuming and cleaning halls, stairs, carpets, community rooms, windows, walls and replacing any broken / inoperative light fixtures and or bulbs.
  • Performs general repair duties (replacement of electrical fixtures, toilet repairs, equipment installations (504 accommodations), drywall and flooring repairs).
  • Goes to local supply centers to pick up supplies for the project.
  • Acts in a responsible manner at all times keeping in mind the Project’ s interest. 
  • Performs all other related tasks as requested by management including enforcement of property rules and regulations.
  • Mowing of lawn and other landscaping as required


These duties are not meant to be all inclusive. Other duties that are associated with of a position of this nature may be added.

  • Must successfully pass Criminal Record Check-CORI, drug testing and have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proven ability to multitask with excellent time management skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills a must
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.
  • 1-2 years general maintenance experience including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, custodial and grounds keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Dependable with excellent work ethic a must
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tenants to address issues and/or concerns.
  • Experience operating a plow, zero-turn commercial lawnmower, and golf cart helpful
  • Basic computer ability helpful
