CDL Class A or B Driver - Duke's Lumber - North Adams

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as sand, gravel, and building supplies to various locations.
• Haul heavy equipment, including forklifts and loaders, to and from job sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and vehicle operation, complying with DOT regulations.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, store personnel, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure proper securing of loads and adherence to weight limits.
• Follow all traffic and safety laws while driving.

• Basic Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience driving dump trucks or hauling heavy equipment.
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction, hardware, or lumber industries.
  • Familiarity with operating and loading heavy equipment.
  • Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
