The Full stack / Database developer has expertise in all stages of software development. They are responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing code and databases.  In addition, they implement, manage and maintain the standards, practices and controls for all applications and databases under their responsibility to meet business objectives. 

The role works closely with the business to identify new requirements and to ensure consistency through collaboration. Effective communication at all levels, organization skills, and the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions are key to success in this position.  Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis.

Key Accountabilities:
DEVELOPMENT: Lead or assist in the design of stable, reliable and effective code and databases including overall planning and architecture.  Optimize and maintain existing systems.  Modify code and databases per requests and perform tests.  Solve application and database usage issues and malfunctions. Work with peers to improve applications and establish best practices. Assist with user requirements and identification of new features.  Develop technical and training documentation.  Ensure all applications and databases meet business performance requirements.  Develop and maintain systems integrations using ETL tools, APIs, and techniques. Research and suggest new development techniques, tools, methodologies, services, and protocols.  Develop standards and ensure adherence to them.    60%
ADMINISTRATION: Manage and maintain applications and database performance by calculating optimum values and metrics; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluate and manage security and protection needs; complete performance tuning.  Create and manage maintenance plans; establish monitoring processes; manage high availability and application/database scalability 15%
OPERATIONS AND SUPPORT: Provide application and database expertise (including administration, management, maintenance, and tuning). Provides support of applications / databases and automate tasks / processes related to both. Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution. Performs analysis and works with various roles to determine interdependencies of processes, applications and database technologies.  Diagnoses and tests integration issues.  Provide end user support as needed.  Creates, updates and manages documentation required for database systems implementation and support.  15%
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
Full stack or DevOps related certifications desirable
Minimum of 5+ years’ computer experience with full stack development and database administration
Minimum of 3 years’ with Visual Studio & SSMS or equivalent
Excellent programming skills with languages such as C#, VB.net, ASP.net, JavaScript, Python, or similar
Experience in HTML, XML, JSON
Strong knowledge of designing and consuming APIs and Web services including RESTful and Soap
Experience with Version Control (GitHub preferred)
Knowledge and experience with SDLC and IT DevOps process
Expertise in tools and concepts of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, ETL, data modeling, reporting and analytics, Relational and Multidimensional Database Design, Development, Management and Maintenance
System and Scripting skills (PowerShell, AD)
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong programming and database design skills
Ability to support all levels of users
Motivated self-starter; able to work independently or with a group
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with end users and co-workers
Organized, accountable with good time management
Willingness to learn new technologies/skills
