Delivery & Appliance Installer
Pay: $18-23/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 40-45 hours/week (potential OT/on-call schedule)
Our Lee-based client is seeking a Delivery & Appliance Installer to service commercial and residential customers in Berkshire County.
Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver, unbox, and install household appliances in customer homes or businesses.
- Visually inspect appliance and check for issues within appliances and fix said issues.
- Use service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and experience to diagnose difficult problems, using texting devices to check electrical systems for shorts or faulty connections.
- Assist in connecting water and gas lines and use of common hand tools as well as soldering guns and brazing torches.
- Ensure all appliances are installed according to manufacturer specifications and local codes and test appliances to ensure proper functioning.
- Help train/educate customers on appliance operation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and the office team regarding scheduling, delays, or service issues.
- Handle tools and equipment responsibly and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Collect customer signatures and confirm installation satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of appliances and their components highly preferred
- Knowledge of fundamental electricity, carpentry and/or plumbing is essential
- High School Diploma required
- Excellent customer interpersonal skills
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are a must
- CORI/security check, and drug testing prior to hire required
- Ability to lift, push, pull, load heavy appliance objects and tools into vehicles
- Formal training is available for the right candidate and will be required throughout employment
