Operations Supervisor

 Job type: Direct Hire

Pay: $23.07/hour

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 1:30p – 9:30p

Location: Pittsfield

 TEC is helping a local transportation company recruit for an Operations Supervisor. The OS is responsible for providing a safe and efficient working operation at this organization. This person will be a customer service representative while also being the direct supervisor to all bus operators.

 Job duties:

  • Schedule employees to driving shifts to maintain staff coverage as required.
  • Accurately maintain system documentation, such as payroll information, work attendance, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Document, investigate, and resolve passenger complaints or concerns.
  • Document and investigate collisions involving transit vehicles; prepare the proper reports.
  • Evaluate and document the performance of subordinate personnel.
  • Count fare revenue and prepare the necessary documentation.
  • Operate a CDL vehicle as required, as requested, or in an emergency.
  • Relieve and/or otherwise assist drivers, as needed.
  • Explain difficult or complex tasks to employees in a training capacity, as required.
  • Attend regular trainings as scheduled by the department supervisor and/or Assistant General Manager.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, or graduate equivalency degree (GED)
  • Computer knowledge office computer systems
  • Knowledgeable in the transportation industry
  • Valid CDL OR have the ability to train and obtain a CDL and other licensure required
  • Pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol test and DOT physical
  • Understand basic math, map reading, and time telling
  • Professional communication to internal and external parties
