Williams College seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Global Operations Management within the Global Education and Study Away (GESA) office.

The Assistant Director of Global Operations Management will lead and support the complex Global Education and Study Away office's existing operations as they continue to grow. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

This position will be responsible for overseeing critical administrative, technical, financial, and risk management functions that support study away and faculty-led global programming at Williams College.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director of Global Operations Management will have significant responsibility for overseeing systems and operations related to the Home School Tuition policy and risk mitigation work. The position will need to collaborate with faculty and streamline the short-term faculty-led travel course processes, including working with the Winter Study Director and Winter Study Program Committee on course management and operations. They will regularly liaise with legal counsel, information technology, and external partners on all risk mitigation and financial matters as they relate to Study Away.

This role serves as a key partner in helping the Dean of Global Education develop and maintain the list of approved program partners and will be responsible for managing the budget in the Home School Tuition implementation and management processes. This position will also oversee and manage the Terra Dotta platform.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with global programming, risk management, or related fields is required; higher education administration experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with experience managing the Google suite and Terra Dotta preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and complex projects independently.


This is a full-time, year-round appointment, reporting to the Dean of Global Education within the Dean of the College's Academic Engagement unit. Williams College is committed to building a broadly diverse and inclusive community where members from all backgrounds can live, learn, and thrive.

Application review will begin on June 16, 2026. Pay ranges from $64,000 to $74,000, commensurate with experience.

Remote work arrangements may be available up to one day per week during the academic year and two days per week during the summer with approval for employees based in NY, MA, CT, or VT.
