Williams College is pleased to announce a position for a Data Specialist to help monitor and improve the quality of the data in our systems to support the Office of College Relations' goals within the areas of career exploration, alumni outreach, and fundraising.

Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of the Data Specialist is to maintain accurate and up-to-date gift, biographic, and prospect data within a complex database management system that supports all facets of the Office of College Relations' advancement efforts. This role involves managing a broad range of constituent information-including contact details, giving histories, and prospect records-to ensure data integrity and usability. The Data Specialist ensures a high standard of accuracy by adhering to established policies and procedures, carefully analyzing and interpreting information, and conducting research to resolve data issues as they arise. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality are essential for successfully carrying out these daily responsibilities.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in data entry required.
- Minimum 2 years data maintenance experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications and experience with Excel required.
- Ability to analyze and decipher information under established policies and procedures with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to perform data maintenance in a complex database management system.
- Experience with evaluating the efficacy of procedures or experience applying process improvement principles is preferred..
- Good communication skills and ability to deal tactfully with alumni and other staff members throughout the college.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information is required.
Hybrid on-site/remote work arrangements may be available up to 2 days per week with approval for employees based in NY, MA, CT, or VT; subject to review and revision as policy evolves. This position requires at least 3 days per week of on-campus, in person work.
Application review will begin on June 30, 2025. Pay range is $23-$25/hr commensurate with experience.
