Deadline: DescriptionThe Department of English at Williams College invites applications for the position of a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in postcolonial literature. We are especially interested in applicants with expertise in global Anglophone literature; literature of Africa, South Asia, and the Arab world; global indigenous literature; histories of empire and capital. Teaching responsibilities include a total of 4 courses (2 in the fall semester, 2 in the spring semester). This is a full time position.
QualificationsWe seek outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research and excellence in teaching. The Department of English values interdisciplinarity and comparative research and pedagogy, and we welcome applicants who pursue postcolonial studies via a broad range of methodological frameworks. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach courses at both the introductory and advanced levels.
