Opening Details

Williams is pleased to announce an opening in the Sawyer Library for an AV Equipment Coordinator. This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk), year-round appointment reporting to the Head of Access Services. The regular weekly schedule is Monday - Friday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. (Work schedule changes during school breaks.) The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and possess a strong dedication to customer service.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for:
  • Coordination of all Audio/Visual Equipment loans through Williams Libraries:
    • Facilitating the accurate and timely processing of AV equipment pool reservations
    • Maintaining the collection to ensure equipment longevity
    • Accurately creating and maintaining item records within the ILS and conduct a regular review of the equipment web presence to ensure equipment accessibility and usability
  • Supporting general Circulation Desk/Access Services efforts
  • Answering questions and addressing concerns of library patrons
  • Other library duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent
  • The ability to apply and administrate policies with diplomacy
  • An appreciation for and an ability to maintain AV equipment is also required
  • The ability to work as a team and individually to manage a pool of equipment (cameras, sound equipment, computer accessories, etc.).
  • The ability to lift, bend, push, stand, and sit is necessary for the shelving, desk, and equipment management duties of this position.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential

Application review will begin on October 3, 2023, and continue until the position is filled. Pay range is from $18 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Band 18.
