Manager of Sports Information

Williams College is pleased to announce an opening for the Manager of Athletic Statistics and Record Keeping. This position is integral in telling the story of Williams College varsity athletics. You’ll join our athletic department team that strives to provide the best experience for the exceptional student-athletes that make up 32 varsity teams. We’re looking for someone to manage all things sports statistics.

Responsibilities

• Hiring and management of student statistic crews
• Coordinate livestreams and game-day photography of home athletic events
• Oversee statistical record keeping of athletic contests
• Oversee reporting of sport statistical information to appropriate outlets, including the Ephsports website
• Maintain accurate team rosters and information on Ephsports website and ARMS
• Act as liaison between the Athletics and Communications departments
• Manage department athletic records and awards
• Provide support for team and department social media accounts and website

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in the field of sports information or sports statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Must possess the knowledge and commitment to abide by NESCAC, NCAA and college rules and regulations.
• Requires strong general computer skills and knowledge and experience working across many platforms, including Microsoft Word, Office, Excel, Google Suite, and athletic statistics software, such as Presto Sports, Stat Crew, and NCAA LiveStats/Genius Sports and the associated systems. Knowledge of word press and ARMS preferred, or willingness to learn. 
• Basic knowledge of sports photography methods preferred
• Must be willing to work as a part of the team with the requisite flexibility that requires. Working many weekday evenings and weekends are common during the academic year tied to significant on-site work for home contests
• You can exercise sound judgment and work independently
• You have great organizational skills, attention to detail, and are able to work under time constraints to keep up with work that at times is very fast paced

This position requires a candidate to be able to move about the athletic facilities, including; ascending and descending stars and ladders, as well as positioning themselves within access to equipment, sometimes staying stationary for periods of time. They must also be able to observe and evaluate competition for statistical purposes. Occasional movement of equipment may also be required.
