The Assistant Director may at times oversee a caseload of individuals and complete all tasks related to the development of the DHSP and the ISP.  This position may at times be required to function as the Day Habilitation Service Manager per regulations. Provides training and supervision to staff; communicate with family members, DDS workers and other departments to ensure adequate services are being provided and plans are implemented on a regular and consistent basis.  Supervise and implement the DHSP.  Responsible for reviewing each individual’s plan, ensure updates are made as needed and maintain individual’s records.  Manage payroll in electronic system. Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the program director.

 

Associate Degree in related field with one year experience in case management or case reviews of individuals with developmental disabilities; or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years’ experience in a program serving individuals with developmental disabilities.  Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing).  Valid US driver’s license and ready access to a vehicle.
