Community Based Day Supports Specialist

The CBDS Specialist is responsible for working with 1-9 individuals in a community based day program. This position is a direct service role in which the CBDS Specialist assists individuals with developmental disabilities to access a variety of volunteer and recreational opportunities within their surrounding community. They will also provide a variety of skills training as prescribed in each member’s CBDS plan and ISP. This includes but not limited to: career planning, social skill development, resume development, specific skill development, soft skill development, interviewing skills, benefits education and coordination.

Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement. Valid US driver’s license and ready access to a vehicle. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e. nursing)
