Carr serves homeowners, contractors, commercial customers, institutions and government agencies throughout the state of Massachusetts, Connecticut and surrounding areas of New York State and Vermont. Carr offers over 150,000 different products including paint, tools, hardware, electrical, plumbing, outdoor living and lawn and garden and so much more.
We seek an Assistant Store Manager/Key Holder to support our sales experience in our Lee, MA ,division of Carr Hardware. The primary goal is to build strong customer relationships and develop lasting business, whilst leading a team. Retail experience is preferred but not mandatory. The right candidate must be very knowledgeable in electrical products, provide exceptional customer service, display effective communication skills, and maintain a great work ethic.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager/Key Holder
Assist Store Manager in Store Operations including: driving sales and profit, customer loyalty, planning, prioritization, and delegating of daily tasks.
Greet, assist and advise contractors and homeowners with their needs.
Uncover the Customers' needs, recommend products, as for the sale.
Neatly display products with corresponding information
Supervise and train staff associates, maintaining a productive work environment.
Perform Opening/Closing procedures.
Transport and make deposits to the bank.
Resolve customer complaints/issues and ensure the customer has a positive experience.
Lead freight movement, and support merchandising initiatives, feed management, and inventory control.
Train Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures.
Operate cash register/computer
Supervise cash handling procedures.
Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to any alarm calls as needed.
Complete all documentation associated with any of the above job duties
Gather knowledge of competitors current product offerings and pricing to provide comparative information and sales
Ensure pricing information is kept current and that customers are made aware of discounts and promotions
Perform other similar duties as assigned by supervisor.
