The Brien Center is Berkshire County’s largest provider of behavioral health and addiction services. General Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all fundraising and Donor/ Community Relations efforts.  Major duties include: develop relationships with and solicit individuals, foundations, corporations, and government funding sources; identify funding sources and write proposals; manage and report on gift making process and progress; publicize the Brien Center and its services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years’ development/ fundraising experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare environment, including demonstrated success in expansion of a major gifts program. Master’s degree or additional certification preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing comprehensive development strategies, to include individuals, corporate, foundations and government grants along with measurable and achievable short and long term goals and include incorporating major gifts, capital campaigns and other major fund raising campaigns
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, donor databases, web-based applications and use of the internet for research required
