CT Tech Specialist I – Part Time – Sat & Sun 7AM-11:30PM
Pay Range: $37+/hour. Pay Based on experience.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Primary Function
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity
- Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis
- May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required
- May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist
- Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems
- Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications
- Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
- Maintains department competencies as required.
- Position Qualifications
- Experience
- Minimum of 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred.
- Education and Training
- Must have completed formal JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
- License, Certification & Registration
- CPR - CPR is required
- MALIC - Mass Radiography License
- ARRT(CT) - Cat Scan required to be completed within 1 year of hire date
- ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography
- Other Requirements
- Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
- Attendance at all mandatory education is required.
