This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Contracting Services which includes both Managed Care Contracting, Payer Relations and Enrollment on all aspects of Managed Care Contracting & Payor Relations issues for the Health System.   In addition to assisting in the evaluation and negotiation of all financial and non-financial terms, the analyst works closely with other Health System departments to maximize operational efficiency in the administration and revenue maximization of all managed care contracts.

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • 1 year of finance experience including utilizing some combination of general and/or cost accounting, budget, or financial analysis required.
      • Previous experience in a managed health care environment with a thorough knowledge of the health care market and the needs/concerns of a health care system preferred.
      • ­­­Some knowledge of Payor Relations /Contracting structures/processes preferred.

    • Education and Training:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
      • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, the full range of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • N/A
    • Other Requirements:
      • Requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines.
      • Must be able balancing multiple priorities and utilizing resources appropriately.
      • Requires the ability to work independently and to take direction from manager with health plans to analyze complex data, identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate resolutions which will have a positive affect on the Health System.
      • Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary and raise issues to the appropriate level.
      • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate both detail and at a summary level to all levels of management.
      • Ability to present technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
      • Excellent team and relationship building skills are essential.
      • Requires the ability to independently analyze and resolve complex financial and contractual issues.
      • Requires the ability to coordinate efforts amongst various departments at the Health System.
