DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients to and from the Radiology/Radiation Oncology Department and delivering materials/products to various areas of the hospital. Familiar with transport equipment such as, stretcher, oxygen tanks, and hospital/ICU beds. Full knowledge of hospital ethics and policies as they pertain to the job are required.
•POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
A.Experience:
•On the job training under the direction of an experienced transport aide or flow coordinator. Proven ability to perform duties and tasks in accordance with established standards.
B.Education and Training:
•High school dipolma and ability to read and write English.
•Ability to communicate effectively.
•Ability to use communication devices such as telephones, computers, bar coders, pagers, etc.
C.License, Certification & Registration:
CPR within 3 months of employment
D.Other Requirements:
•Ability to follow instructions.
•Ability to perform repetitive duties.
•Willingness to complete assignments with a high level of quality and consideration of patients, staff and visitors.
•Ability to receive constructive criticism professionally.
