POSITION OVERVIEW

A privately held and industry leading injection molding company is actively looking for a Pricing & Engineering Analyst (in the plastics Industry)—with the successful Candidate headquartered in Pittsfield, MA.

The successful Candidate must be willing to be involved in a challenging and fast-paced environment.  The Candidate will have close interaction with the manufacturing operation as well as senior management. The Candidate will assume a critical role in the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s pricing model using its state-of-the-art ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.  The qualified candidate will aid in the development and refinement of existing manufacturing products, but also for accurately quoting new business, or projecting related costs and its respective effects on new business. 

Reporting to the Plant Manager (including continued interface with other departmental senior managers), the Candidate will assist with manufacturing process engineering, including new systems implementation, analysis of existing operations, manufacturing process improvements, and development of new business pricing models. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) refinement, engage in multiple aspects of process engineering, analysis of existing operations, and new process improvements.
  • Prepare and execute action plans by establishment of product validation protocols/processes.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate/document the success of an assigned manufacturing team and production associates.
  • Provide coaching and professional development to team members to enhance their ability to service projects encompassing customer objectives.
  • Involvement with other company personnel, including Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Management, as needs require.
  • Provide timely feedback to Company senior management regarding manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting of various project activity efforts including metrics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corrective manufacturing action plans as needed.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of associate’s degree in mechanical or engineering technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or engineering technology preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.  Recent degreed engineering technology graduates will be considered
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with some project management/participation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to help develop and implement successful strategic project plans.
  • Hands-on account management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage resources to meet the Company’s aggressive goals and objectives. 
  • Persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
