Description:
The role of the Restaurant Operations Specialist is to assist our Mixologist and Front of House Staff with whatever duties are necessary throughout an evening of restaurant service at the Hotel on North. The position is a modern role in contemporary restaurants by which the position deals more with the operations of the restaurant then dealing with the customers themselves, especially in regards to the purposes of sanitation. This position will require a strong work ethic, the ability to be flexible and handle an active working role, in addition to working well with others in a high-intensity environment.

Key Responsibilities:
On the Floor:

• Provide the Mixologist support with bar guests during periods of high volume
• Handle bussing tables and general cleanliness of the bar, server station, and bathrooms
• Run food from the kitchen to the floor, watering tables whenever necessary
• Assist Front of House staff with polishing glasses, silverware, and occasional Hotel needs.

Training and Education:

• Become familiar with the POS system, Micros
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of property’s amenities, room options, and ongoing promotions
• Develop a thorough knowledge of our beverage and food menus
• Maintain an open mind and energetic spirit when being trained, and knowing to ask for help whenever necessary

Skills/Requirements

Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of service with experience working in restaurants
• Meets or exceeds all activity standards for service, cleanliness, and friendliness
• Ability to carry drinks, food, and dirty dishes on trays with ease

Requirements:
• Be present for Friday and Saturday night dinner shifts (and occasional events) (6pm-10pm est.)
• Flexible with regard to time management and changes in plans
• A team player of strong moral fiber

Physical requirements:

• Long hours sometimes required due to peak volumes, training, or client relations
• Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, and must display a polished, confident self-image
• Light work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as climbing stairs repeatedly as needed
• Must have good stamina to tolerate long work days and work weeks in peak season
