The Lever team seeks a high-energy colleague to market and sell wood products produced in Northwest Massachusetts. This is a full-time position.

Lever is a not-for-profit economic development group based in North Adams. Since 2019, Lever has collaborated with the Woodlands Partnership of Northwest Massachusetts (WPNM) and the state’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA) to advance forestry- and wood-related businesses.  Recently, our focus has turned to launching a marketing and sales enterprise to support those businesses, the Woodcraft Collaborative of Northwest Massachusetts (WCNM).

We seek a full-time staff member to lead WCNM. This individual will formalize relationships with regional wood product manufacturers (lumber, building materials, furniture, housewares, etc.), and promote their products to consumers, retailers, wholesalers, and builders. Lever’s network, its communications team, web development resources, and legal support network will support this individual's work.

Day-to-day activities for the WCNM Manager will include :

  • building and maintaining a network of regional wood product companies (vendors)
  • marketing and sales of their products, including developing a multi-channel marketing strategy (digital media, social media, in-person, etc.)
  • development and maintenance of vendor database, and customer database, using the Hubspot CRM
  • providing regular updates to Lever staff, WPNM, and EOEEA, as needed

Candidates should enjoy a collaborative work environment and share the Lever team's commitment to service. They should have knowledge of wood and wood products from logs to furniture and everything in between. Knowledge of the construction sector, especially carpentry and design is a plus.

Salary will be between $55,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Health and retirement benefits are also available. Lever staff work in the office at least three days per week.

The successful candidate must have a vehicle to visit wood producers and buyers; mileage expenses shall be reimbursed.

To apply, please submit a resume plus a letter explaining your interest in the opportunity.
