Special Education Paraprofessional

The Hancock School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a Hancock student attending a neighboring school district (Richmond).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to special education students individually or in small groups, following the objectives outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Assist in students' educational and social development under the guidance of the facilitator and classroom teachers.
- Collect and record data under the direction of the special education teacher.
- Follow the direction and supervision of the special education teacher and collaborate with team members to support student success.
- Provide input on student progress when requested.
- Participate in consultation activities with both special education and general education staff.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and workshops for professional growth as requested by the Special Education Administrator or Building Principal.
Schedule & Compensation:
- 6.33 hours per day for a 181-day school year
- Additional hours for professional development will be compensated at the employee’s hourly rate
