Duties: Support, oversee and execute capital and infrastructure projects, including scope and budget development, installation, start-up support and acceptance testing, as well as maintenance troubleshooting, for a 24/7 polycarbonate sheet (PCS) manufacturing plant. Develop and update electrical/PCS standards for process control systems and engineering practices & procedures, working towards upgrading and eliminating outdated components. Work with PLC’s, HMIs, SCADAs, motor drive sets & industrial electronics on extrusion equipment. Assist in reliability planning and development of preventative/predictive maintenance programs. Provide oversight of the infrared/thermal imaging program. Evaluate opportunities for production and productivity improvements in process control systems. Research new technological developments and cost savings initiatives. Troubleshoot ladder logic and PLC programming. Responsible for compliance to Arc Flash NFPA70e and LOTO practices and for performing various maintenance and engineering tasks using iMAINT software.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering & 5 yrs exp, including 5 yrs electrical engineering exp; strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation and control systems; proficient in the use of AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software applications; able to read / interpret blue prints and drawings; and project organization and cost control capabilities.
