US Marketing Manager

The role of the US Marketing Manager is to help grow and market jane iredale THE SKINCARE MAKEUP.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record working with and creating breakthrough marketing for high-growth, challenger beauty brands. The US Marketing Manager plays an essential role in the development and execution of the domestic marketing plan. This position supports the VP of US marketing and works closely with the US and Global marketing teams to create tools and resources needed to support sales and drive further brand success. jane iredale and the marketing team is headquartered in Great Barrington, MA.  This is a Hybrid position with the ability work remotely at times.

 Main Objectives:

  • Support VP of US Marketing in developing and presenting the brand story domestically
  • Develop and implement annual marketing and promotions calendar
  • Manage 360-degree launch planning process for innovation in US market
  • Partner with Sales to support professional partners for both sell-in and sell-thru initiatives

 Key Responsibilities:

MARKETING PLANNING

  • Develop clear, effective marketing and promotional strategies & toolkits for partners to execute easily
  • Bring the brand to life by integrating long-term strategic vision into the annual and monthly marketing calendar, developing creative ideas/ themes for quarterly initiatives, new launches & other key brand moments
  • Initiate creative briefing process for new program kickoffs, sales support assets, and domestic specific programs
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to manage the planning and on-time success of US marketing initiatives
  • Work with Education and Creative teams to develop compelling education assets including videos, imagery, and partner-sourced content.

 NATIONAL ACCOUNT SUPPORT

  • Serve as Marketing liaison for national retailer marketing teams
  • Collaborate with National Accounts Manager to establish and implement annual marketing plan by account
  • Ensure that national partner marketing programs are executed on time (eventing, GWPs, promotions, sampling, sales/education support, etc.)
  • Develop initiatives and collateral to support newly opened stores or retail partners
  • Partner with National Account Manager to develop ideal product assortment by account
  • Partner with Education to develop event plans and necessary marketing tools

PROFESSIONAL PARTNER SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and partners to understand needs and create tools to fill those needs
  • Partner with Global Marketing to produce and deploy successful marketing campaigns to support innovation and focus products
  • Develop an annual event and sell thru plan to drive sales in professional channel
  • Budget and monitor relevant marketing spend on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Produce launch specific digital & social support toolkits for professional partners

PRODUCT INNOVATION

  • Collaborate with product development team, marketing, and sales management to drive lead go-to-market strategies and launch tools including selling materials, promotional collateral, and sell-thru assets
  • Develop marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, drive new customer acquisition, drive repeat purchase, and help sales to achieve growth objectives
  • Analyze business to evaluate launch ambition and forecasted cannibalization rates of innovation within the US market
  • Track core product portfolio performance to ensure marketing is effectively driving sales for pillar products

PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATION

  • Partner with VP of Marketing and AOR to develop annual strategic PR plan and budget
  • Collaborate with PR team to drive new customer traffic to brand through relationship building with editors, makeup artists, and influencers
  • Support could include partnering with AOR in planning events, developing creative mailings, etc.
  • Execute day to day PR communications, product ordering, and budget management

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7 years of brand/product marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of prestige/professional beauty market
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, team environment
