Looking for a reliable, self-starter looking to support the General Dynamics Mission Systems Fire Control Team as a Control Account Manager (CAM). This position requires good interpersonal communication (think team player), self-motivation, and ability to correlate metrics/data. There will be a set monthly rhythm of reports that are standard in this position, outside of these tasks--working to support team needs and create value are integral to the role. The CAM will be in the larger Project Support Specialist group and integrate with both Engineering Systems and Program Management--there are opportunities on both sides to learn, gain experience, and attain career growth. Business/Finance Degrees welcome


Job Duties

  • Works as individual contributor using defined resources to meet project requirements from Engineering and Program Management Team
  • Gathers and organizes data for review with appropriate stakeholder(s) in support of project(s)
  • Accepts direction from superiors and in turn offers observations and advice on gaining efficiencies.
  • Integrates well in a team environment--this is a MUST
  • Performs research in data sets to correlate metrics 
  • Helps support preparation and coordination of  program plans and schedules for new or existing programs
  • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters
  • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements
  • Supports preparation of slides and content for monthly meetings and monthly reports (System Engineering Integration Team (SEIT)s, Engineering Status Review (ESR), Daily Scrums, etc.)
  • Verification and control of costs charged to the control account
  • Managing risk portfolio for responsible control account; flowing these concerns up to appropriate stakeholders and senior Risk Manager
  • Processing baseline change requests for scope changes impacting schedule or budget
  • Working with team to ensure updates to Agile or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics are taken regularly and status 
  • Support charge number generation on as as-need basis
  • Support Comprehensive Estimate At Complete (CEAC) as needed 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • EVMS knowledge-highly recommended
  • Agile/JIRA-recommended, not required 
  • Excel Proficient-required, Microsoft Suite Knowledgeable-recommended

Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
