Adams Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is looking for an energetic individual with strong organizational skills to join our well-established mechanical contracting business. Our projects are located throughout western and central Massachusetts, but the position requires reporting to work in our Adams office.
The project manager is responsible for managing project costs, field labor, subcontractors, material and equipment ordering, scheduling, and working within a budget. The job requires dealing with General Contractors and Subcontractors, Professionals and Owners from project kickoff to punch list completion.
Job duties include:
- Manage construction projects.
- Monitor project budgets and labor costs.
- Monitor and prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines.
- Review, analyze, and recommend change orders, as needed.
- Estimate the price of change order work.
- Analyze construction documents (plans, specifications, bulletins) to confirm project requirements.
- Coordinate with accounting personnel to prepare billing documents.
- Coordinate with jobsite foreman to ensure materials are provided and manpower needs are met.
- Review project with company management periodically and as requested.
- Attend job site meetings.
- Prepare and manage communications with general contractors, owners or construction managers.
- Ensure job site employees maintain a safe work environment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Associates degree or higher in Construction Management and/or Mechanical Engineering is not required, but is helpful. We are willing to train and nurture any individual who can demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
