Requirements:
Demonstrate ability to work well with others, specifically students, teachers, school administrators, parents and volunteers;
Serve as a role model for students and the general public at large;
Demonstrates confidentiality in personnel and student matters;
Possess a good knowledge of the sport, including, but not limited to, understanding and training/conditioning techniques;
Make periodic reviews of the grades of the student athletes during the course of the season to ensure players are keeping up with the studies and maintaining their athletic eligibility;
Be aware of and enforce MIAA rules and regulations;
Provide reports in writing within twenty-four hours to the Dean of Students/Athletic Director or Principal for any major infractions of the accepted school rules and policies by any student participation during any aspect of the athletic program;
All regulations with regards to the school’s state approved concussion policy are followed and documented;
Work with the Athletic Director in scheduling practices, games and scrimmages;
Develop challenging, diverse and developmentally/physically appropriate practices as part of the comprehensive training regime for all players;
Prepare budget requests and specifications for submission to the Athletic Director;
Responsible for equipment and uniform inventory during the season;
Accompany and supervise student athletes from the start of practice and/or athletic completion until each student athlete has left the school via late bus or parent pick up.
