Mount Greylock Regional School District includes Lanesborough and Williamstown representing a combined population of 11,000 residents. Our District is comprised of three schools: Lanesborough Elementary (PreK-6), Williamstown Elementary (PreK-6) and Mount Greylock Regional School (7-12). Total enrollment is approximately 1200 students. Kitchen Assistant - Lanesborough Elementary

Mount Greylock Regional School District is accepting applications for a Kitchen Assistant to work in the Lanesborough Elementary School Cafeteria.
Job responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Preparing food according to a planned menu and uniform recipes and determining if end product is of best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
- Serving students and staff during scheduled meal periods.
- Takes in money for food and beverage during meal periods if necessary.
- Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
- Assists in cleaning and storage of dishes, utensils, cafeteria equipment and food supplies. Cleans work and dining areas after lunch service has been completed.
-Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.

The work year for this position is set forth in the collective bargaining agreement as all school days when lunches are served, plus additional days at the discretion of the Food Services Director for in-service training, off-site visits, or cleaning. The minimum number of additional days will be one-half the number of scheduled half-day in-service days for faculty. The work hours for this position will be Monday-Friday from 8:15 AM - 1:15 PM. The pay range for this position is commensurate to the successful applicant's level of experience and will be an hourly rate between $17.10 and $22.06 for the 2025-2026 work year.

All offers of employment with Mount Greylock Regional School District are contingent upon satisfactory completion of the employment screening process to include SAFIS (CHRI) Federal and CORI State background check results. Further, employment in this position is subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 71 and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the Mount Greylock Regional School Committee and the Mount Greylock Education Association.
