MassSTEP CNA Program Theory Instructor - North Adams Public Schools - North Adams

This position is responsible for instruction and assessment of students enrolled in Northern Berkshire Adult Education’s MassSTEP Certified Nursing Assistant Program, offered in partnership with Integritus Healthcare. The course will run 10 weeks beginning the week of March 2nd, and run concurrently with clinical training that students will receive with Integritus. This instructor will support students in their progress with the textbook and Canvas course selected and offered by Integritus. The Instructor will provide multiple access points and opportunities for engagement and will work with other NBAE staff to discuss lesson plans, student progress and assessment. This position is for the school year only and is located at the North Adams Armory. The anticipated start date is March 2, 2026. The position is for 4 hours per day, for  3 days per week, not to exceed 80 total hours.

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills 

• Complete lesson plans using the DESE approved Adult Education template

• Complete Professional Development as requested and attend staff meetings 

• Knowledge or experience in healthcare field preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:         The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary.  Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects.  The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally.  There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer, typewriter, keyboard, calculator, and other business machines.
