Dynamic part-time position offers the opportunity for a registered dietitian, Massachusetts dietitian nutritionist.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about good nutrition and enjoys sharing their knowledge through one-on-one counseling, public presentations, and writing. Duties include conducting nutritional assessments and counseling via home visitis and or phone consultations. Provide nutrition education within the Berkshire community to consumers and staff through community venues; submit lesson plans, handouts, and evaluation tolls as required. The chosen candidate will be a contributor to the Berkshire Senior newspaper and will be the agency's go-to person for all matters surrounding nutrition.

Duties include being an integral member of our menu design team by ensuring we meet our high standards for nutrition.  Other responsibilities include: timely reporting; nutrient analysis; site inspections; and leading on-going trainings for staff and volunteers.

Education and Experience Requirements:       

  • Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition, public health nutrition, or nutrition education from an accredited program and at least one (1) year of community nutrition experience; OR
  • Associate degree in food and nutrition and at least two (2) years of community nutrition experience (PI-94-40).
  • Must hold a Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian (LDN) credential.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred.
