We’re looking for a talented and dependable Appliance Service Technician to join a well-respected company based in Berkshire County. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, we’re open to all levels of expertise. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of appliance components and troubleshooting, and be comfortable repairing a variety of home appliances like washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, and refrigerators. You’ll be working across Berkshire County, and training will be provided for the right person! Pay will depend on experience.
What You'll Be Doing:

  • Diagnosing and fixing washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, and refrigerators.
  • Checking appliances for issues like strange noises, vibrations, leaks, or loose parts.
  • Using manuals and guides (plus your know-how) to figure out and fix complex problems.
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Using testing tools like amp meters and volt meters to spot electrical issues.
  • Handling repairs involving electronics like circuit boards and sensors.
  • Installing and troubleshooting new appliances to make sure everything’s working smoothly.
  • Fixing refrigeration systems, including refrigerators and air conditioners.
  • Helping customers understand how to properly use and maintain their appliances.
  • Making sure all repairs meet safety regulations, including handling and recycling refrigerants like CFCs and HCFCs.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • A good understanding of appliance mechanics, electrical systems, and refrigeration.
  • Experience with hand tools, soldering guns, and brazing torches.
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot problems.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Great customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
  • CORI/security check and drug testing will be required before you start.
Nice to Have:
  • Previous appliance repair experience is a bonus.
  • Technical training or certification in appliance repair is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration repair.
