Maintenance Technician – Housing Authority (Southern Berkshire County)
Full Time | Temp to Hire | $23–$25/hr (depending on experience)

A local Housing Authority in Southern Berkshire County is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with steady hours and occasional on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on residential units and common areas

• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks

• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and professionally

• Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors for specialized services

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner

• Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including snow removal and grounds care

Requirements:

• Prior maintenance or building repair experience preferred

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Reliable transportation required

• Must be able to pass a CORI background check if selected

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance needs

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional on-call duties
