Maintenance Tech

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Tech to join our North County client for the 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in basic handyman tasks, construction, and maintenance. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the facility. There is no public transportation option at this location. This is a temp to hire for the right person! Pay range is $19-$20/HR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general handyman tasks including repairs and maintenance of building systems.
  • Paint and maintain interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
  • Handle basic electrical tasks, including replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
  • Use basic tools and equipment for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide winter cleanup, including shoveling snow, salting, and sanding walkways and parking areas.
  • Perform general construction tasks as needed, such as drywall repair, basic carpentry, and assembling or disassembling fixtures.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, with attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed for tasks like equipment handling and cleaning.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or construction is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, painting, and construction techniques.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for winter cleanup duties.
  • Must be available to work the 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions, especially for winter cleanup duties.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
