HR Manager

Salary:  $70k-$80K

Pittsfield, MA

Our Client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to enhance productivity, promote employee welfare, and drive professional growth. You’ll report directly to the CEO with independent ownership of HR processes and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

 Employee Relations & Management

  • Support business units on employee relations, performance management, and change initiatives
  • Conduct investigations and provide timely, compliant solutions to workplace concerns
  • Coach management on people issues while mitigating business risk
  • Manage offboarding processes and provide retention insights

 Benefits & Performance Management

  • Lead annual benefits selection and enrollment with exceptional attention to detail
  • Manage annual performance reviews ensuring consistent execution and documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure regulatory compliance

 Training & Development

  • Provide developmental training on employee relations and performance management
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend scalable solutions
  • Develop comprehensive HR policies and procedures with clear documentation

 Reporting & Administration

  • Completion of workers’ compensation audits, 401(k) contribution processing, unemployment claims, leave tracking, and other administrative tasks
  • Prepare accurate HR reports and metrics for leadership on established timelines
  • Ensure timely completion of all HR deadlines with consistent follow-through 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5-8 years progressive HR experience in employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) and HRIS systems
  • Proven track record of accuracy in benefits administration and payroll processes
  • Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with HR metrics and reporting experience

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • PHR/SHRM certification
