- Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Director I Certification required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience managing a child care center or preschool program.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and child development.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
Applicants must:
- Meet all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Director I qualifications.
- Have excellent problem-solving, coaching, and critical thinking skills.
- Have at least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- Demonstrate knowledge of child-centered, literacy-based curriculum development and quality assurance practices.
- Possess strong management skills, including planning, organizing, motivating, and decision-making.
- Effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities within a licensed child care setting.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Build rapport with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, economic, and family backgrounds.
- Adapt to changing program needs and priorities.
- Maintain professionalism and positive working relationships with staff, families, vendors, and community members.
- Be in good health, free of communicable disease, and meet all required health and immunization standards.
- Be willing to provide classroom coverage when needed.

Work Schedule: This is a 40 hours per week, 3-6 months, temporary position with possibility of permanent transition. Some meetings/events will be required, outside of traditional working hours.
