Full-Time, Part-Time and On-Call. Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift!

General Description

Responsible for direct care of the residents in the program. They are responsible for ensuring program safety and for helping the residents understand the program requirements. Support all residents with life skills and assist in creating daily schedules of meaningful activities.

Essential Job Functions

Direct Care:

  • Assist Site Supervisor in the coordination of intake interviews
  • Monitor daily activities of program and report all concerns to Site Supervisor
  • Follow and monitor the medication policy for resident medication regimens
  • Assist Case Management Staff in record management and filing systems
  • Attend staff meetings and meet with supervisor weekly
  • Oversee drug screening and record keeping
  • Assist and participate in group facilitation and educational training
  • Report and document any incidents, accidents, injuries or medication errors to your supervisor according to agency policy
  • Participate in all relevant staff meetings, treatment team meetings, scheduled supervision and interagency meetings
  • Conduct daily room inspections and maintain a daily chore schedule for residents
  • Conduct routine bed checks
  • Report any and all safety concerns to Site Supervisor
  • Assist residents with both internal and external transportation services
  • Have direct involvement in menu planning and food preparation
  • Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor

Administrative:

Serve on interagency committees

  • Keep supervisor well informed and update collateral services when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and all agency policies.
  • Maintain quality and safety of sites.
  • Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 or 4-year degree in related field preferred
  • Relevant knowledge and or experience in substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses preferred   
  • Relevant Human Services/Direct Care experience preferred, will train
  • CPR certified or certification within first 3 months of employment
  • Able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information Check and RMV check

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity 
  • Visual and hearing acuity; correctable
