PPE is seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift Production team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations while supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with manufacturing experience who can effectively manage personnel, coordinate production activities, and drive operational performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production employees to ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor work activities to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration between shifts and across departments.
  • Partner with Quality, Processing, Material Handling, Shipping, Maintenance, Engineering, and other teams to resolve production challenges and improve workflow.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees to enhance performance, engagement, and skill development.
  • Monitor production schedules, equipment downtime, and scrap rates, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate process improvements to management and engineering teams.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Review employee attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related information for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports and shift documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
