The Office Assistant is a dependable, friendly, and communicative team member who
supports daily administrative operations and enhances the welcoming environment of
our congregation. This role is vital for ensuring smooth front-office operations and
excellent member/family interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Communication
Answer incoming phone calls and route appropriately
Greet visitors and manage the front door
Assist walk-in guests with questions or directions
Event & Program Support
Register people for dinners, synagogue programs, and community events
Manage high holiday ticket purchases, including payment processing (credit
card, check, cash)
Administrative Assistance
Support office tasks such as mailings, filing, copying, and other clerical duties
Cover for the Office Manager during absences (doctor appointments, vacation,
etc.)
Ensure office spaces and supplies are well organized
