Provides administrative support for programs located at North Adams Medical Arts/MCLA Health Sciences Suite. Coordinates the daily operations of Allied Health programs including Nursing, Radiological Technology and Public Health.



General



  • Provides support as needed for: Allied Health program and grants.


MCLA Health Science Suite



  • Processes work orders, interfaces with Facilities and other offices in order to maintain the functionality of the Health Science Suite, its equipment and furnishings.
  • Provides on-site support for offices in Health Science Suite including mail distribution, processing forms, occasional photocopying, and facilities use.


Nursing/Radiological Technology/Public Health (Allied Health)



  • Supports Allied Health Department Chair and faculty, performing such duties as preparing correspondence, processing forms, answering phones, filing and working with students and college staff.
  • Assists faculty in the operation and recordkeeping for programs, concentrations and other special initiatives such as student CORI checks, Health Services records, compliance with CPR, Castlebranch and other program requirements and grants management.
  • Coordinates and monitors departmental operating budgets.
  • Assists the Chair and faculty to order/maintain necessary program supplies including completion, submission, and tracking of Purchase Orders.
  • Assists the Chair in scheduling classes. Inputs and tracks all faculty course schedules.
  • Transcribes and assist department chair in signing off on course approval forms on electronic (Omni Form) system.
  • Updates and supports department websites.
  • Coordinates new faculty and staff search processes including scheduling interviews
  • Word processes documents for faculty such as syllabi, exams, letters, and memoranda.
  • Supports faculty and students with advising questions, assignments and forms to be signed.
  • Assists faculty in planning and organizing academic and social events.
  • Performs administrative support work for the chair/faculty associated with any clubs, organizations or other academic programs for which the faculty advises.
  • Maintains and prepares weekly attendance records for each department.


Job Requirements:
  • HS diploma/GED; AAS preferred.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office products. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to interpret and implement oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner.


Additional Information:

This is a part-time (17.5 hrs/wk), grant-funded position. Salary is $24,000 - $27,000.
