Opening Details

Williams College is pleased to announce a newly created position for a Data Quality Assurance Specialist to help monitor and improve the quality of the data in our systems to support the Office of College Relations' goals within the areas of career exploration, alumni outreach, and fundraising.

You will play a key role in our CRM system implementation by reviewing and adjusting all data management policies and procedures for efficiency and accuracy using the new system. You will help to ensure that the data used by the team is the highest quality possible by creating queries, rules, and validations to ensure best practices are being followed. You will create queries to report on data entry issues, volume and other details. You will learn the data automation tools and strive to reduce manual entry wherever possible. When required during busy periods, you will work with the data management team to enter data such as donations and important contact details for our constituents.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in data quality assurance required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications and experience with Excel is required.
  • Ability to analyze and decipher information under established policies and procedures with a strong attention to detail. Experience writing queries in CRM systems, using SQL, or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Able to perform data maintenance in a complex database management system.
  • Experience with evaluating the efficacy of procedures or experience applying process improvement principles is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to deal tactfully with alumni and other staff members throughout the college.
  • Discretion in handling highly confidential information.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information is required.

Application review will begin on February 6, 2024, and will continue until the position is filled. Pay range is from $18 to $22 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job band 18.
